THE PROBLEM
A telecom operator runs infrastructure that has to stay up. When something goes wrong, the people responsible need to see it immediately, understand it and start diagnosing.
Kitana is Slovanet's infrastructure management system. Its frontend had to show alerts as they happen, support diagnostics and keep a live view of the infrastructure, without freezing under a constant flow of updates.
WHAT WE BUILT
We implemented Kitana's frontend architecture. Live monitoring runs over WebSockets, so state changes are pushed to the interface instead of waiting for the next refresh. Real-time alerts and diagnostics sit on the same foundation.
Architecture was the point. A monitoring frontend keeps growing: new device types, new alert rules, new views. The structure has to absorb that growth. This is what web application development means for internal tools: built to run all day, every day.
OUTCOME
Slovanet got a frontend architecture for Kitana with real-time alerts, diagnostics and WebSocket live monitoring in place.
